Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch 🔁
The fight for the undisputed world heavyweight champion title between Usyk and Fury was awesome. The Ukrainian boxer’s impressive victory brought him unified WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO titles and made him the first in 25 years four-belt holder after Lennox Lewis.
The contracts of these two heavyweights include a rematch option. The presence of this clause in the contract was one of Tyson Fury’s main requirements. Now, thanks to this claim, we will get the opportunity to watch these two professional athletes fight a second time.
Only a month after the fight Oleksandr Usyk was supposed to defend the IBF belt. He refused to accept a mandatory fight in order to prepare for the clash with Gypsy King in the rematch fight in later 2024. After Usyk withdrew an IBF mandatory challenge, it’s led to the fact that Daniel Dubois became the IBF’s full champion in June.
Fury going to reclaim Usyk’s belts in this highly anticipated clause. He already shows off on videos of his training sessions in Morecambe gym. Jorge Capetillo a Fury’s team member asserts the boxer feels great and is ready and determined.
Oleksandr Usyk is serious about a rematch with Tyson Fury. The Ukrainian boxer noted that he doesn’t believe the second fight will be any easier and does not want it to be. He said, “You can’t succeed without hard work”. Usyk intends to start training in September and rest until then.
The re-fight is already set and confirmed by Turki Al-AlShaikh, the president of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA). Oleksandr Usyk will face Tyson Fury for the second clash on December 21, 2024, in the same venue, Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
