I’m in your head – top promo for Usyk vs Fury rematch

The official Usyk vs Fury promo trailer with quite an impressive video was released on 1st December by Riyadh Season magnate Turki Alalshikh. Insane from start to finish, it once again proves how deeply Turki Alsheikh is digging into boxing and cares about its future.
Easter Eggs hidden in the Promo
The promo is worthy of being a high-budget movie trailer and contains many hidden cool things that definitely deserve a closer look:
- References to movies
As a Voldemort that will inevitably return, Fury appears on the back of a stranger dude’s head on the street. There are general hints to “Unfinished Business” and “Mind Games” movies. But the allusion to “Snatch.”, where a top underground boxer was knocked off in the gypsy settlement is just hilarious. Not just because of Fury’s gypsy origin but it also brings back the memory of John Fury’s headbutt of a member of Oleksandr Usyk’s team in the buildup to their first fight.
- Tyson “Greedy Belly” Fury
Oleksandr Usky was the one with the wit in the lead-up to the first fight calling his opponent “greedy belly”. The nickname is a result of Fury insisting on a large split of the purses from the fight. In the trailer, this is played out in the moment when Fury rips off his shirt and sees Usyk looking at him right from his stomach.
- Sausage Man
In the same way, Fury called his opponent names in particular, “Ugly little sausage man”. This spawned in the new trailer a scene in which Usyk screams at chicken sausage while shopping for groceries.
- Fury punches himself
One of the trailer’s funniest moments recalls one of Fury’s fights, where he somehow uppercut himself in the face during the bout. The moment is reflected in the episode when Fury sees Usyk in his own boxing gloves and punches himself on the head.
- Horror madness
Both fighters are tormenting each other by seeing opponent faces everywhere they go.
Some iconic and infamous music videos blend their dark and surreal aesthetics into the promo’s narrative. You might recognize the eerie, unsettling vibe and haunting visuals of Chris Cunningham’s “Aphex Twin – Come to Daddy” or the bizarre, captivating style of Traktor’s Basement Jaxx video, “Where’s Your Head At.”
The Climax
The trailer ends with both fighters acknowledging that the fight must settle everything—an ending that leaves viewers hyped for what’s to come.

To sum up
The trailer went viral literally the same day and has gotten millions of views since then. Fury vs. Usyk 2 is just three weeks away, but the promotion continues to build up as the fight gets closer.
